Lunch time

I have got THE funniest story.

First off I'll set the scene. Last week someone coming to our company for a meeting parked in one of the other company's parking spaces, so they got a stroppy note stuck to their windscreen. Since then we've been waiting for someone to park outside our building and go over to them so we can ring them/leave them a note to a similar effect.

So then, yesterday someone turned up just before 3 and parked outside my window. I looked out to see if they were going to go over to the stroppy company, in the mean time we were telling the guy who has been on paternity leave about the story of the stroppy note from last week and having a bit of a giggle. He sat there for a minute before clearing off. We didn't think anything of it as people are always turning up for a minute then leaving again.

Anyway, it turns out that this guy that parked outside my window was coming to us for an interview (bearing in mind he parked outside my building which is the second one, with no logo on the outside). He ended up calling reception to say he wasn't coming, so the office manager emailed him to ask why, not expecting a reply. This is the reply:

"I do struggle with interviews as most people do and I did arrive at your premise a few moments before the interview was to take place but just as I was psyching myself up to register at your reception I noticed a young man peering out of the window at me and laughing. He (had medium length curly hair) was quite plainly poking fun at me along with his colleagues who were seated alongside him. He was peering out of a window directly in front of where I parked which was the 2nd building on the right, just up the incline."

So saw us chatting and laughing and because I looked out the window when he turned up, he thought we were laughing at him. I mean, I know I'm quite a big bloke (here's a very recent picture for those whom which I'm not acquainted ) but we could have been laughing about anything. And it turns out we were

My director's comment once we explained was "now that's just too pathetic for words"

good call on the Sauna! I can sit in them for hours as well - might wear a tin foil suit with a special hat and pretend its to stop people listening to my thoughts - that's bound to impress the laydeees
