He's the head of state of the Vatican City, he's treated no different from Obama or Sarkozy. Only difference is hundreds of thousands of people actually want to hear and see the Pope.

I can't remember the last time Obama (or any foreign head of state) did a walk around British towns and cities requiring masses of security though.

As said, hope he turns up and theres one man and his dog to greet him - I'm not convinced many people are bothered in the slightest about him coming.

Like with the royal family, I cannot see the point of his existance TBH.

I'd be happier paying for a tour from Will Doyle, at least he adds entertainment value to our lives.

You're convinced wrong then, there's far fewer people interested in him than they were in John Paul but there were still be hundreds of thousands lining the streets.

Peoples in British towns and cities don't have the same level of interest in Obama or any other head of state as they aren't the head of a religion. It's not that hard to grasp.

"A Comres poll found 79 per cent of people had "no personal interest" in the visit and 77 per cent do not think taxpayers should be paying for it."

The amount of space they have set aside for the Pope's visit to Birmingham leads me to believe that there are one or two people interested in visiting him.

Statistics can be used to prove anything, 40% of people know that.

There's 4.2 million Catholics in the UK and he is the head of their religion.

Your statistics are meaningless shite.

Irrelevant like the Pope's views on Marriage and homosexuality, as statistics show

I have absolutely no religious beliefs what so ever, but if people find happiness in god, and obviously the pope, then I'm all for that. Still soap dodging Romans though.

"a tragedy that cannot be overcome by money alone, that cannot be overcome through the distribution of condoms, which even aggravates the problems"
