What state of tune was your Corsa in at the time??

I used to have a play with my mate in his old DC2 and would leave him with ease. That was in an XE Corsa.

Never tried it on the twisties though, would probably have got raped big time.

i only just pulled on 1 in my stage 2 1.8t golf which had 230ish.... and i used to rape xe corsas

Really.

With 230ish bhp and probably about the same torque if not more and you couldnt pull on a car with less than 200bhp and about 120lb/ft torque.

Your Golf was either slow as shit and not 230bhp or the DC2 was seriously tuned.

Wasnt your golf just remapped with a fancy filter etc??

My mate had a DC2 until last week when he smashed it and it pulled on a tuned focus st. He always said the engine was standard.

no my golf was a k03s whith turbo back, 007p, cai and bypasses ect. stage 2 r-tech rr'd at 228.something bhp with happy shopper fuel. you seem to forget that dc2's do 0-60 in 6.5 secs or something. if driven correctly they are very capable. so to pull on 1 at all is a good achievment, if you left your mate in ease he must not know that vtec kicks in if he stays in gear long enough

Oh yes he knew what Vtec was.
You seem to forget that after 60 thought, they dont exactly have much pull.Even after 100 they kinda struggle.
A turbocharged car with over 200bhp should pretty much shit all over a DC2 in a straight line.

You should have pulled by a country mile though.

Unless it was only over a short distance from a standing start.

Yes but the extra power and torque you had should have made up for that, and then some.

Yeh I was starting to get bored but then when the updates started coming through after it had docked in the country I refound my love for the car I had never seen haha.

P.S an XE corsa would not beat a DC2, the end.

Nice DC5 tho, theres a very nicely modded one for sale on CTR owners just now. Wouldnt mind a run in one to see if they live up to all the hype.
