problem not resolved the new cap didnt sort my leak out... so it must be a leak in the pipes somewhere.. ive left it on dry land, level and will check under the car in the morning.. as long as it doesnt rain.

im just gunna have to top it up everyother day until i get a new radiator. not perfect but i dont have much of a choice.

cant see it loosing that much water from the rad without noticeing it .. sound more like its pushing it out the rad from overpressurising , ie headgasket blow on a waterjacket.

i refuse to believe its head gasket lol.. just because i havent exhausted other things yet.

im going to whip the undertrays off and see if i can see anything there, then ill check the tophose isnt split again.. then if they are all ok and still no signs... ill have a look at headgasket..

im getting a new head gasket fitted in oct when it goes in for the engine rebuild anyway.,

yea it needs replacing, but i cant say ive noticed any water, its alot harder to identify a leak on this car as it has the rad in the front, tank at the back, undertrays underneath so its an all flat floor. there may be an obvious drip but with all these bits hiding the pipes its not that easy to tell.

If there are that amount of litres of water going into the combustion chamber, the car would run like utter shit and shit loads of steam would be coming out the exhaust, but this isn't the case!

when my rad was leaking it was only slight and took a while to spot, it was only after giving the car a heavy blast it would steam out of the bonnet.

before the coolant was sealing the small leaks and making them unnoticable

it only seems to go down when i drive it, if i just leave it ticking over it doesnt move, well not noticably even after 20 mins.

radiators are £300 so im going to pop some rad weld in and see if the leak stops.
