Might sound a bit random but who previously owned the car? is the car an import or been abroad recently?

Ive heard of bits of cars going missing in the night from cars on drives, mostly M3's - stuff like bumpers etc can fetch few quid.
But a plain spec fiat 500 dash.....thats just beyond belief!!

Probs be a CAT D 500 popping up for sale locally soon. Guessing they're replacing parts to one where all the airbags have deployed.

My thoughts exactly - airbags are expensive things!

Dangerous shit taking the all that apart with the battery still attached.
Like people have said, somebody has taken one out of a damaged 500 and learnt how to do it pretty quick. It takes a while to get a corsa one out so it must of took them a good 45-60mins +

My god
Insurance job by the looks huh
Even a 2nd hand dash + labour would be far from cheap.

A van at my dads work (New shape ford transit) had the full steering column, airbags, front bumper, Bonnet, Wings, top and bottom slam panel and front seats taken out of it from their compound. That is in the middle of an industrial estate so making no noise wasn't an issue with them
But doing all of that to a car on some ones drive is strange!

Surely it would have been easy to steal a full car?

surely that has to be a fiat mechanic or something to do that without any damage? How did they take it and not set off the airbags.....disconnect the battery?

tbh why would anyone need those bits replacing apart from a dash fire?
or do the airbags ruin the dash if they go off?

why there is a risk of getting seen in the car
granted there is risk in being caught taking the dash out but to take the car they need to get the keys hence break into the house
thsi way they have got access to materisl they can sell on with little chnace of being caught

How the hell did they do it in the dark without skint knuckles, shouting & swearing, throwing tools around in a strop. Ive removed interior bits before, not a whole dash & its a fiddly task at the best of times!! Although they've some nerve doing this you've kinda got to give it to them....there good!!
Theres too many clever for their own good scumbags about nowdays, only happy to take whatever they want. Makes me wonder why I work my ass off away from home just to come back & live among them!!
Fuckers!!!!
