This is why i ask people, i wanted to know what is the best model and engine size really.???!!!
above 1.6 ! 2.0 out the question. it will be juicy on fuel and tax!?!!
i think i do alot of driving to have a diesel, well average atm i think i do 12 miles a day untill i find a new job which im hoping would possibly be further away, then i go out in the evenings, my friends live all over place so i do bit of motorway driving also and i drive to southampton area once a month also. i dont have average spend on petrol atm, its all over the place!

12 miles a day and you want a diesel i have a clio 182 and do 70 and thats just to work and back and then im down at the gfs or gym at nyt. And plus on top of that i m out on building sites all over the place. Thats diesel travelling and yes i am looking for one but if i was doing 12 id be looking at a vxr, 888 cdti. Go all out and dont get a basic spec.

I would get a vectra but im biased, much more car for the money. Cruise as standard too and alot of them have atleast one form of an option on them. 400 miles to a tank easily in a 1.8. If your doing 12 miles a day you will have to run your diesel for a good number of years to notice the upside between buying a diesel rather than petrol.
