also, that 430 does not warrant an expensive detail.

it's his own money though.

I think it sounds a bit gay, but then I wouldn't pay ££££ for a detail.

They hardly charge more just because they call it a studio Its all about company image etc.
Studio sounds better than garage/unit. People always dress things up a little.

[Edited on 24-10-2010 by BluKoo]

That what I meant. If people fall for it being called a studio because they think its more professional then let him.

Who gives a shit what he calls it, he's making a fucking fortune

If it was a live webcam they wouldn't have been able to keep up the illusion that they can spend 3 months on 1 car.

Er... sorry John, You are actually wrong there.

Just goes to show even on a fairly clean car the wash stage will easily still take you a good 3-4 hours, sometimes even more.

What I don't get is why he used a less powerful cleaner for the arches as they were ok anyway, why not just use the best all the time

Anyone who takes more than an hour to clean a car in that state (i.e. not particularly dirty) has got issues.. And anyone who PAYS someone an extortionate rate to spend 3-4 hours cleaning a car that is hardly even dirty is just plain stupid.

Imagine if mechanics were posting on a forum saying "check this out guys; it took me 3 days to change the clutch in this Ford Focus because I alligned the clutch with a feeler guage and drained and re-filled the gearbox 8 times".

Have to admit, I thought the "live" detail was going to be a webcam. Clever marketing, but a bit of a let down imo

"Now, being Italian - will the engine start now it's wet?..... (drum roll please!)..."

Do you doubt yourself more than the car?
