i can't believe you could argue that some one who makes a few spelling mistakes won't look after their car?? tbh my spelling isn't the best but that doesn't mean i don't look after my car

car is a bargain if the mileage is true, even if it isn't it still looks clean enough.

I am a little adverse to a poorly written advert as poor spelling could just be down to a rushed advert.

Its a £1300 car here not something worth dismissing because of a few spelling mistake

I have clearly stated 'far more likely' in my posts. Did you fail to read that? You work on the law of averages with most things in life, I won't buy a car from someone that spells like a prick for the reasons stated above. You would purely because your opinion is formed by being the polar opposite to myself as stated above.

Oh and prescriptions are printed from a computer at my GP's, I'm not in some hillbilly redneck town that's littered with insestuous families.

again not really, why does a car enthusiast have to be good with computers or spelling? NOTHING to do with how a car might be looked after.

BarnshaW it's a very simple concept. To sell your car you have to portray it as being the best example in that price range, your advert has to capture a potential buyer and give them faith that they are buying a cherished example from a sensible person that hasn't been ranting the cock off it from cold, text typing doesn't give me that confidence.

I do agree with you Limecat, but like Fad says if it was a £10k car and not a £1300 car I would be much more cautious.

If it was a £10k car I would be wondering where they stole it from?

Do you read posts before you reply?

Text typing is for chavs. Chavs are not the sort of person you idealise when it comes to someone you want to buy a car off, especially a Corsa which I am sad to say are popular as hell with chavs at present.

I read your replies, I think you should take your own advice really. You said

"sensible person that hasn't been ranting the cock off it from cold"

you dont have to be able to spell to be sensible, people who cant spell can be sensible? Women or Sales Reps who can spell PERFECTLY would more then likely be the people who rag cars from cold. I just dont see where you get your links from.

Well, I won't buy from retards for the reasons I have pointed out above.

Is that simple enough for you BarnshaW? Can you grasp that?

I have put my thoughts down, all you have done is question them based on exceptions rather than the norm. An advert is there to sell a car. It's a crap advert as it puts me off and doesn't draw me in. Others have agreed with that therefore text typing spelling and lazy adverts do put people off as this thread shows.

others also agree that spelling is irrelevant and you are being picky, you dont have any proof only assumptions so really your argument is null and void.

It's not null and void though.

Do you accept that the advert has put me and others off?

Answer that one question.

yes i completely understand why it might put someone off, but thats not what I am arguing, if you read posts (like you pointed out before) I am questioning that you said people who cant spell are more likely to not look after a car and rag it from cold, please explain how bad spelling in an ad means someone will be ragging the car from cold. Making yourself look a bit silly now.

For fucks sake, I'm not repeating myself again.

At the end of the day I asked if I was the only one that's put off a car by spastic spelling/text typing. I'm not the only one. Therefore how you word an advert DOES have a direct link to your chances of selling it. I have pointed out MY reasons.

Conclusion: Shit advert.

Conclusion - someones spelling has no link to how they might look after or maintain a car
