God knows how they would check for mapped ecu's? The only way i could tell mine was mapped when i bought it was because as standard the code ends in '0' and mine was '1'

There are ways around ALL of these:
Remap: Bluefin style "upload" maps
HIDs: They are fucking dangerous anyway - plus just pop them out and put the standard bulbs in for an MOT
Airbag light: Well make it work then?

my HID's aren't dangerous, pow?
standard lights are dangerous in puma's at night.
i think xenons in range rovers are dangerous if you're in small lower cars as you get the glare.

i only get flashed if i flick the adjuster up to it's highest setting.
i do that down country lanes around here but on main roads i just use the lowest setting which is fine and a huge improvement over standard.

Hids - my car has projectors, levelling switch and washers so they can't do anything
chipped ecu seems impossible, so they will have to have every single ecu map for every kind of car to compare? NO!

i think for HID's to be legal they need to have automatic levelling.
my focus never had a switch, they just went up and down according to the surface of the road.
my mate always used to say he thought i was flashing him when behind his car.

Automatic levelling is actually shit, they never make their mind up, if you drive up to the back of a car in traffic they go mental.

Some of the aftermarket HIDS are fucking blinding and piss me off big time and they think there so cool because they have them when they are sitting on your rear bumper saying hey look at me i got HIDS.
Fuck off and get a grip.

seems strange that they have just revised the mot testers handbook to then have these ideas on the cards and not impliment them now when there updating it anyway.
