But that's not a vRS, it's the 1.9 SDI engine.
I was just showing they could look nice

So with a DSG do you not just put it into Drive like a normal auto?
You can tell I've not driven a modern VAG car

So its an auto.

No, it's a manual box with some automatic bit's stuck on, it's not an auto.

That would be a better description than an auto yes.

Even when pushing it i used to get 41+ mpg, when trying to be economical, could get 54mpg no problem.

i went from corsa b x18xe1 to c20xe corsa b, then fabia VRS and i LOVE the fabia compared to the others
main attractions for me were:
Cheap to insure
Easy To get big power (remap £250 takes it to 180bhp/300ftt)
Looks good
Lasts alot over 100k
Comes nice as standard, and lots of extras, fogs interior etc
And then you drive it
Honestly more fun the many of the other cars becuase the turbo is just their straight away, can be abit laggy at times, This is a standard car though, i have been told once mapped it makes it very similar drive to a petrol, pics will follow

A generic map won't take it to 180bhp, more like 165. A map does transform it though, I had my Ibiza done the other week, completely different car now! My dad was suprised how different it was too (he has a VRs)

Have you personally done this with a Fabia vRS then?

I liked mine in a lot of ways..the problem with me is i like the 'Rawness' of driving and the VRS is just like most modern cars which lets face it can feel a bit boring.
Mine was quiet..comfortable..quick, especially on the motorway and lost me no money i'd have another now we have a baby on the way but if i'm honest i'd be looking at a Diesel VRS Octavia.Awesome cars.

I wouldn't say the Mk4 Golf was that amazing! I have driven a GTi and didn't think much to it.

really? i know theyre a different class of car but tbh i thought my ibiza was shite compared to the golf. i did however spunk a lot more cash on the golf so maybe i was more attached. i never really fell in love with the ibiza.
and to the above never lived with it comment..... i did live with an ibiza day in day out which i disliked

The non turbo Gti's are dog slow and classed as the slowest 1.8l/2l around
Gt Tdi 130 is where its at

Ibiza isn't a Fabia, Fabia is better put together.

Didn't you have a Mk3 Ibiza? Which is completely different to the Fabia! Also they share many major components, its just the size, weight and interiors that are different. I didn't like the driving position/feel in the Golf.

Only a mk3 ibiza he had and he's basing his opinion of a fabia on that, logical.
