Nope, it's lovely underneath.
Lad I bought it from was the son of an older lady at work, it was her car then she gave it to her son, one other owner from new otherwise. Been serviced every year otherwise.
They tried to trade it on on his new Hyundai Getz (bleh) and they didn't want it because of the short MOT and drivers seat (which has a lovely rocking action). I waved £60 infront of her nose and she took it, wanted the space on the driveway at home!

I think sell it and buy something with a gear box from this century.
You really want to tinker with a 5 door?

It'll always be worth 100 quid in scrap unless the price gets particularly poor so while there's life there's no harm using it.
As a working car with a longer ticket it's at least 300 quid, I wouldn't kill it if you can avoid it.

Yeah I do Fad, because, if I break it then it really doesn't matter. The gearbox is a bit comic tbh

Might pop into Halfs tomorrow en-route home with the old trade card in hand. Mint. Wanna set my bottle of T-Cut on it first, I seriously haven't even touched it since I drove it on the way home. Not sure if it has any anti freeze in it so not turned it over since then.
