true story:

I was bidding on some leather seats and i missed out by about 5 quid

I was also bidding on some headlights off the same car, and winning both would mean the 50 mile petrol journey was actually worth it so long as i won both - I was pissed off that I had been outbid in the last minute as the seats went for very little money

so,

I arranged to drive across stight away and collect the bumpers, which I did.

I got my dad (also in car) to call the guy too, and tell him he was on his way to pick up the seats (on the off chance he had not been in contact with the winning bidder). My dad collected them from him, paid in cash. we put them in the car and drove off

Would hjave been funny when the actual bidder contacted the guy!
