Make sure you have business cover on your insurance.
I never bothered tbh, it was years ago though, not sure if I would risk it now.
Dominos are one of a very few delivery companies who actually cover you when your working for them. However, I stopped using my own car after one lad had a bump one evening. They took forever to sort anything out and the lad eventually gave up because of it. I now use Dominos own smart fourtwo

House-mate works for Pizza hut and gets paid a hourly rate then .90p per drop, gets paid weekly. Pizza hut have their own insurance at £6 a week. He looked at working for Domino's he said that the money was not as good, although you need to keep count of how many drops you make because they may try and cheat you out of money. Only real down side is the damage to your car, stop start all local roads etc.
He has a 1.6 Golf and fuel was not too bad but obviously depend on mileage.

I've delivered for dominoes before.
Not a good job in my experience. They give you £1 per delivery + like £6 an hour.
I used to end up out of pocket frequently. Losing money and them taking it out your wages. I've done delivery jobs a lot, it's barely worth it, except for free food. The money barely covers the running costs of your car, especially with accidents, tyres, brakes etc.
The extra cost of business insurance is stupid. I was paying 175 a month

It's not just business insurance you need but cover for hire and reward.

Looks like I wasn't covered when I did it then lol.
Either way, the risks of damaging your car etc, the costs, barely worth it. Most your wages will go straight on petrol, insurance, upkeeping of your car etc. It's boring, not to mention you have to wear a uniform that makes you look like a gay sailor.

i dont wear any uniform
indian takeaway ftw
i wear whatever i want, take my time cruising to the deliveries at a liesurly pace with my music on full whack, i used to drivearound like a mad man with my arse on fire, but then realised how much it was costing me and how little the takeaway owner cared about how quick i was...
occasionally if its busy he tells me to put my foot down, so i just set off from the takeaway at high revs then stick it straight in 5th

Normal takeaways I find it depends largely on area, worse areas you'll make more money.
Domino's is a different demographic so think they make loads anywhere.

I did it for the local chinese when I was 18 and doing my apprenticeship. Used to make an asy £100 for 2 nights work. Never bothered with insurance and never got caught but wouldn't risk it these days.
Wear and tear on car wasn't bad, just used to leave it running most of the night to save all the stop/start stuff.

Not quite no, but when i was getting £500 p/m during the 1st year of my apprenticeshi and £200/250 for 2 full night & 1 half night, i felt loaded at the time, if the horse racing was on or it was gold cup weekend i would usually clear £300 easily.
A full night was 5-2 and it was constantly busy.
Didnt bother with insurance either but it was 4 years ago now.
Sometimes i wish i kept at it, as it would have been a handy fallback when i got paid off from my apprenticeship
