Yeah I didnt want to do it myself so got the local body shop to do it. Cost near on £500 :/ but if you can do it then

That's really shit that mate, at least it's repairable. Any CCTV at the work place?
Also with regards to the bonnet catch, you will have to get it done, it won't be sufficent (it needs to open/close properly) for it to pass the M.O.T. (happend to my gf's fiesta).
