Job done!

Have you been to the doctors for that mate? Just that if you leave them too long they can sometimes strangulate then turn gangrenous, need to watch out for that.

I had one done 4 years ago, got a 4.5" scar on the right hand side of my lower abdomen. The pain after mine was horrific, not meaning to scare anyone but it actuaally felt like someone was holding a lighter on the hernia site.

I still get bother with it now, been back to the doctor and hospital about 5 or 6 times now. Have had an MRI scan of the site and been referred to the chronic pain ward in the hospital. I still get bother with it, it feels like it's still there if I'm doing anything strenuous but I've been told my only option is exploratory surgery - I've told them thanks but no thanks, don't want to go through with it all again.

I couldn't straighten my back up more than 45degrees for about 2 weeks. I actually considered buying a walking stick.

Well I'm alive, very sore at the moment. Have three holes one just under belly button and one either side. Feel as if someone has smashed me in the stomach with a baseball bat at the moment.

Glad it's out the way though now, just chilling out in bed trying to sleep of anasetic (sp).

How long do you have to stay in hospital after an operation, do they boot you out soon after?

3 hours or so, I was last out because I couldn't stand up and when I finally did I was sick which isn't what you want when you can't bend over and just been stabbed three times in the stomach

The main thing is that you're healthy and made it through the op, it's all over now

Very sore atm, just looked and the three holes are actually above my belly button and in the gap between the first row of muscle. Getting out of bed just now took about 10 mins and hurt like hell :-(.

Cheers chaps x
