Won't it be hard going from a nice refined car with a nice engine noise, to something small rattly with a 4 pot? I keep thinking I want something different but its a fucking hard decision.

For £2k you could get an mr2 turbo. That would be my choice for that budget.

Neither have I but that shape escort with 150bhp isn't going to be faster than a 325.

If you cant insure a Scooby, dont waste your time getting quotes on a Pulsar.Unless its been reg'd as a Sunny Gti-R when it was imported, you will be paying a mega premium.Worth it though.

That 1 in the link sounds a good buy(even if the colour is off putting).

Only the very early 328i Sport(95 N plates)had a factory LSD.The rest had switchable T/C.Would be more fun with an LSD though,or is that what you ment??

Ah right, i'm on a modifed policy with HIC because i had the XE insured properly, but the fella on the blower said i'd be wasting my time trying to insure a scooby before my renewal.

22, currently 1 years NCB, 6 points (only 3 to declare next renewal) and driving 5 years.

I was 23/24 with 1 yrs NCB when i had my Pulsar. Was paying about 1100 TPFT.When it was imported it was reg'd as a Sunny Gti-R.Done some quotes for both and the Pulsar was coming back at about 1800.That was 3/4 years ago now.Just to give you an idea with the rise in insurance etc.
Do some quotes online, but dont expect it to be cheap.

Civic VTi. Genuinely. I've been down the Corsa XE route, I had a stripped out 106 XSi 16v and funnily enough I too have a capable but boring barge But my Honda is by far the most fun out of the lot for hooning around, and great when you want to chill out too
