I have found I had to wait a few hours for an answer to help things in the past, not really that bad is it?
Mig is usually bette for the techy stuff anyway.
Plus their are few people who can help with threads about techy stuff. All that happens in gc is people who aren't that capable (generally sometimes there will be the person needed in there) reply or the obv help zone gaffes.
It doesn make me angry or anything it's just most people tend to use this forum because it isn't a fucking shambles like most others, when the first 4 posts are helpzone ones starting with the sentence "I know this ain't help zone but..."

It annoys me too. If i have a problem i post it in helpzone, if i require a really quick answer and haven't got it from helpzone il then google it or try other vaux forums or trawl through search a bit more to try and find a similar problem
I often look in helpzone, and give advice where I can and hope others would do the same for me

Does anyone genuinely care if a question is in general chat? I don't, if someone needs help they come on here for good advice not to be told to bugger off to help-zone and then not get the problem sorted.

Use Recent Threads and you're more likely to see things to reply to which should get it busier.
Typically the solution is to reply to questions in there. That is the only way it becomes worthwhile posting there.

It just needs more moderation if possible, or clear instructions to keep help threads to help zone
General chat will end up cluttered if you do away with help zone, need some arrangement and order. Just need to make it clear to some users what general chat is for
