Would you screw threw a freshly done front bumper if you didn't really have to?
3CM - i'll keep you in mind
yea i would! if i got pulled and it was going to be a regular occurance i would just accept i have to have the numberplate on the bumper and either screw it on or stick it on. only saying that because if you get caught once theres no point in risking it again mate

If it becomes a regular thing then i'll just put the grille back to the standard chrome and refit the holder. I've seen plates on the ones with the black grille and it looks so out of place IMO. I'll see how it goes first.

I was gonna stick one to the corner of my bumper like I had on my Evo but it will cover the headlight washers.

If you are on an age-related plate, you will just get ticketed. £60 a pop. What will happen if you dont get it sorted and fixed properly i.e. the front of the car, then you will find yourself stopped more often and fined. Officers will know that you are just taking the fines, and not fixing it. You will also likely at some stage get issued a VDRS - a ticket you take to MOT station to have the offending issue checked and stamped. Eventually, you will get fed up of the fines and put it on.
Lad round my way had 3 fines in a week and put his back on - was it worth £180 to have no number plate? Not that week it wasnt.

I have no front plate on my Mazda, ran the BMW without one for 18 months too, only put one on for a long trip and couldn't be arsed putting it back on. Never been pulled. Didn't run one on my mk1 Golf either, or my Nova for that matter.

Depends where you live. A.lot of officers dont 'do' traffic stuff, other than phones / seatbelts. Number plate offences are a pet hate of mine, so I deal with them. Warning on first occasion, and VRM recorded. If i see the same offence again, having already warned about it first, then i start issuing tickets. My theory is that you have had ample warning, and clearly arent listening, so tough.
