Does no one know that because of safety reasons, you can't fill up more than 80% of tank?

Looked it up its a rotery encoder which is basically a 'smart' digital turbine flowmeter.

Probably gets calibration checks often using hart protocol or something similar.

Highly accurate!

My Ibiza has a vent switch and can squeeze another 5litres or so in the tank. Can do 100miles before the needle moves

You could just get the lowest amount usually 3L and measure it in a measuring jug
