Chole, I have a feeling you will get mugged again here...there are 25 on ebay at the minute, 3 are 4k or less and have less mileage. look for another one instead of buying one chavved up.

He is right I paid 5k for mine with 76k 3 yrs ago I didn't know mine had been missed until I had paid deposit etc didn't deter me but looking at what it has cost me since nearly 2k I wish I had waited

There is just something not right with that one for one who puts a side exit exhaust on a people carrier it's likely it was driven to within an inch of it's death hence the rebuild going by that list of things it's had done that's nearly 2k easy even if the work was carried out by himself I would want to see receipts before I handed over any sort of cash. Listen to someone who has one and someone who has had their share of problems PULLOUT of the deal before it's to late there is better to be had

Just becuase an engine has less than 100k miles doesn't automatically mean it's healthy, could have been run without oil or as said just ragged everywhere.

I reckon people are being a bit too weary though. It's a people carrier so the chances of it having actually been ragged are pretty slim I'd say. Basically it's a case of finding out if the guy's really a vaux mechanic, if that's bullshit then the whole re-build story probably is too.

'Im a Vauxhall mechanic' means fuck all as well. In fact some of the worst service i've had in 10 years of driving was from Moorland Vauxhall when my VX220 was under warranty.

yes i had it rebuilt, but put a second hand turbo on it that died and had a big oil leak from the bottom of the engine that would have ment the engine needed to come out to fix it, nothing wrong with the engine itself though apart from that, it was a strong engine after the rebuild

Doesnt sound like it was strong if it had a large oil leak which would require engine removing.

Do you buy cars because they have more mods even if they have no receipts for anything they claim? Imo i would rather have a standard zafira gsi with fsh including receipts than a higher spec one with no proof of fuckall.

Does your bf have a say in this?
