I often only read the subject and I don't notice who started the thread.
I also very rarely take notice of when the thread was started.
It is a little annoying having so many old threads dug up for no good reason. Just a load of folk jumping on the J Da Silva bandwagon.
Locking them is probably the best option. People can link to them and read them but are unable to post in them.
