if it wasn't such a clean original looking car, i'd say 40mm springs/shocks and 16v 9a conversion... but it is, so don't do anything to it

I was thinking eibach 20-25mm springs. 16v will be on the cards when this one inevitably goes pop!

the 8v's are tough old things lol

definitely go for a 2.0 16v 9a bottom end, kr head etc, you'll be looking at 150-160bhp, proper b-road car

It's widely recognised as the original hot hatch, without it, you wouldn't have had any of the modern ones

It's light, revvy, has no driver aids, no power this, no integrated that...

Still regarded as one of the top ten beat handling front wheel drive cars of all time. In fact, evo magazine tested it with loads of other fwd stuff and it was better than some more modern cars.

It is genesis. THE hot hatch, THE GTI.

Blimey.

Another ruined GTi then. Take it back to showroom standard!

How would that be ruining it? It isnt far off standard, it will never be of showroom condition though.
