these things serve a purpose if your car is tracked a lot, its a functional thing and dont look good, but then they're not meant to.
Boggle why you'd want one if your not itnerested in the functional side of it

nothing, you dont even need one for tracks tbh, but it does make it easier if you bin it to get a hook on a strap rather then faffing about with a towing eye

Could you not put it on when you got to track?

yeah some people do, i guess the strap makes it easier if you need pulling in sideways direction or something.
its not vital and very much a scene thing

People need to get over the fact that people like to put parts on their cars just to make them look good to themselves. It's an accessory that fits in with the track look, let the guy get one in peace if that's what he's after.
Agreed with Steve about the scene thing

I wouldn't remove the Corsa tow eye to do it, strap will then go through the bumper which means if you use it you'll probably pull it off.

I cut the Black section up on the bumper to make the clearance for mine to not risk much damage to the bumper if it was needed, plus as mine is functional with the removed Tow Eye (which was a pain in the arse ) , it's not mounted to hang out downwards like the Scene ones tend to as it would get twisted in use
And I went for stealthy Black to blend in
These 2 show the mounting and cutout best on my snotbox;

I have these to go on my mazda as I cant stand the "buck teeth" look created by the factory tow hook on the front!
Standard -

New ones awaiting fitment

vast improvement imo!

My last Rallye didnt have a towing eye when I bought it, so I cut one off a scrap 106 and welded it on. It was free. Cant help but feel these straps everyone is buying are mainly a cosmetic thing, although I can see the attraction on a race car with an unlimited budget.
