because you dont understand, ive been giving you the advice, follow that and your engine would run. if i was you id start looking around, plenty sites about for advice.... that what i did and im know planning a 1.6 8v turbo for my nova

Please dont use a spacer plate Do it properly with some rods and pistons that have been designed with a turbo in mind. You will save yourself so many headaches!

I dont even know what engine your doing it on.
Everything can be found on the Internet, Hell its even on here somewhere as I've posted it all before.
I hope its a Corsa VXR Manifold/Turbo you have bought.
Your need a oil filter relocation kit (Mocal £100ish), Custom downpipe with a V clamp ring and V clamp (STD VXR fittings), Oil feed from the oil pressure switch, done via a T, Then your need to tap a return into the sump (if alloy), or get a steel sump (and suitable pickup) and weld in a return. Your also need VXR coolant hoses to and from the turbo, and then plumb them up using the old Throttle body warmer, Since you wont need that anymore due to powerbox (Ideally a well made one that wont burst under the pressure).
Then your need a boost switch for the TPS to trick the std ecu into thinking its at full throttle when at half throttle and on boost, Then your need to up the fuel pressure (3.5bar is OK), Your need to keep an eye on how rich/lean it is, Ideally a wide band £150 ish.
You could run about 5psi on standard compression, Would not be reliable. I'm not going into reducing it etc, Its not worth my time.
Std management will take about 10/11psi.
There is also lots of small stuff (one way valve for the oil breather), plus lots more, intercooler, boost pipes etc.
Ideally also you want stand alone management, But that is £600.
Its not cheap, Its not easy, and If you still dont get it after this post, Give up.

Sounds fun i think its worth it wondering bout the 2 headgascets thow would that actualy work surly its more prone to going thow ? Would this all work on a x14xe ? Its basicly a mini 16xe isnt it

Two head gaskets is a shit way to do it.
VXR pistons and rods fit the 16xe block and crank but you need to bore the block out (£80 ish).
OJC I'll be amazed when somebody actually finishes one too

same on nova forum with the gsi/gte engine. even though theres a quide on doing it. ive gathered a list of bits i need to get, also done alot of research so will take me a while to build but will be worth it imo

Wrong, a spacer plate increases the overall height of the block and head once built up, you cant reliably run a standard cambelt on this setup as its not designed to give any extra leeway, it was designed around the block and head at the height it came out of the factory (a set value with a strict tolerance). I dont know if you have ever changed a cambelt but there is very very little give in them to ensure the timing is correct and stays correct. You are effectively increasing the distance from the cam pulleys to the bottom pulley when you add a spacer plate which IF you manage to get a standard cambelt on there, its going to be under an increased strain and become a weak point and probably snap due to too much tension on the belt.
