Should really be no more than 5-6 degrees.

Sprints and hillclimbs can say that. Their class structure means you can compete on little money.

Sure you can show up and take part in TA fairly cheap (although tbh, homologating your car for Hot Hatch racing or Saloon series' is probably not much more if any), but to "compete" you better bring your cheque book.

Aye pretty much anything over 10 degrees is pointless, just creates drag instead.

400bhp isn't a lot tbh compared to the 800+bhp others.

It must be pretty much down to the handling and the size of your balls lol.

I didn't know that. In fact I just thought the fastest round a track wins end of lol. The most amount of wins at the end of the season is the winner overall.

cheap

No motorsport is cheap.

I dont understand folk that dont understand TimeAttack. Think F1 qualifying..... its pretty much the same deal as that - Fastest Lap wins (gets pole in F1), and the lap is done in traffic so you HAVE to plan, make space etc.

A sprint is 'easy' as you have the track to yourself.
A sprint is very short normally, same with hillclimbs.

A lot of folk move on to door to door racing after or alongside TA, so I see it as a start in Motorsport for folk that dont want to wreck their cars in saloon racing.

Classes - If you are within 5% of the class winner above you - you get a strike. 3 strikes and you are up a class. Its fair.

I'll never understand people that watch them beyond the first 5 laps either

Watch the lights, wait for 1st lap carnage, switch back over to ITV4 for the BTCC

that astra is looking great :-)

people who dont understand time attact prop have not been on a track day!

some people say track days are waste of time and money cos your not really alloud to race or overtake unless its safe! so basically u get just to drive around on race track fast!

but track days are great fun and very addictive, and even tho its way more expencive and serious, time attack it few steps on from that, if u love track days and wanna get more competitive then time attack is great! but not have the huge bills of having to run a race team etc

racing would worry me cos such a good chance of crashing even if its not your fault! least in time attack your car is hopefully safe part from mecanical falure! or driver error!

TA is probably more expensive than the lower classes of wheel to wheel motorsport. SaxMax, XR2s etc

But there are several cars in UK TimeAttack with well over 100k builds.
