I joined Waitrose in september 06 so my first bonus was march 07. It's definitely not been more than 20% in the past 5 years.

As an employee you should gain access to it or be given the opportunity to see it

normally they release a statement - but if you ask I don't think they will tell you as they don't have to by law

They only release this information to IRS and auditors - if they choose to share with employees thats up to them

In these tight times I don't think you would get to see in depth information as they may make a load of people redundant but make shit loads of money which would do nothing for company face value of moral

It's a private company so unless I go and ask doesn't sound like I'll find out.

I know before the recession they had a profit of 400k and turnover of 1.4m.

I've never had a bonus! We haven't had a anaul pay rise in 3 years yet your md thinks nothing of buying a new motorhome, spends 100k plus on race cars etc! The excuse is ' we made a loss', yet magaically each department sponsers a race car!

Company I work for made net earnings of U$D2.6bn (revenues of $107.9bn) but we only get £30 Love 2 Shop vouchers at Xmas

I also only got 7% pay rise because of my great performance, everyone else got 3.5%

We've had 1 pay rise in 4 years, that was last year and it was 2%.

We worked out on paper that due to cost of living increases we are actually 10% worse off than 4 years ago.
