That wrx they only make £200 profit, but they don't allow any labour into their costs so would have lost a shit load on it. Presenter never used to be that fat im sure

Why is everyone making a point about labour costs? The point of the show is doing the work yourself, not dropping it off at a garage.
TVR S was my favourite I think.

I was just going to say the same thing. I like the way they sometimes make fuck all but sometimes (like the e type last night) make a couple of £k's
My fav was the cossie followed by the 205 gti

If the point of the show was to show you how to do it yourself, he wouldn't be getting Ed to do all the work for him as clearly not everyone can fit full exhaust systems or respray a door.

Because Ed normally ends up spending stupid amounts of time on them.
So although it's free labour, it's a disproportionate amount of it when the show is about buying something that needs tidied up and then sold on for a profit.

even still, soo mch labour time spent, and travelling around to find parts, , and a measly few hundred quid
hardly makes u appreciate any of it - you hardly ever think 'what a success' - it just dampens the love, appreciation and and point of the programme, and to be honest it leaves me feeling very disappointed.
the reaction you make most of the time is ' - what a foool'

precisely. i could make more profit polishing piss into the paintwork of a car and selling it as it is.

It's a usefull show if your interested in working on cars / home mechanics as ed china gives sound advice and normally works on interesting cars.
If your using it as a manual for 'how to make money from cars' then you will be disappointed.

I enjoy the show a alot. It is silly at times, the fake on screen bartering when buying parts or negotiating a price is cringe worthy. I just like seeing beat up old cars look nice and new again.
M3 was my fave obv. Liked the 205gti and the 928 too

PLEASE don't get me started on Mike Brewer there ain't enough bullets in the world to enter the fat pricks scull.
WRX one was laughable! Launching thr thing on the strip after fitting the new clutch was a new low for me. WORST one was the 928 Porsche they had a pristine example on with the old guy owner. It's the car Porsche uses on promo tours and shows etc and that fat prick powerslides it around the track after saying he'd look after it.
Good show though have to agree with Jambo that thr M3 vert was my fav.
