I am assuming this is someone you have heard of and been put in contact with? Do they fly over and measure up a bunch of people?

Yeah, my dad found their shop when he was in HongKong and they told him the dates they were visiting. They email you when they're coming over and you book a measuring up session. Usually do London, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow.

I still use Slaters occasionally if I need a pair of trousers or something but the difference between a Slaters tailored suit (cuffs and waistband really) and fully made to measure is worth the extra, especially with my build.

I believe this is your interpretation and not his actual point.

I suspect his response will favour whomever he likes more though.

My point was that I couldn't care less about designer brands, to me Hugo Boss, YSL, Paul Smith etc means nothing. I'd much rather pay £40 for a Primark suit but they don't fit me, so £99 for a Topman jacket in comparison is expensive.

I haven't bought a full suits for years as can wear what I want to work and I don't have to meet clients very often.

I'm going to chester races in a few weeks though, I bought this jacket from River Island and now need to invest in the trousers (bought jacket to wear with jeans and pumps on new year)

Borrow Live Lee's white ones, apparently they are the most fun and bestest shoes in town.

Aldo or Dune do nice formal shoes. I used to wear ted baker shoes until I nosed in those 2 mentioned shops.

All my suits are either M&S (circa £250 - £300) or Cerutti (£400)...
Most of my shirts are either Autograph from M&S or TM Lewin

Next or M&S.

Cheaper stuff is false economy as they go shiny quickly. Mine generally last a few years.

Just been to Burtons for a new suit.

Sale on and student discount, so got a nice suit, shirt, tie and shoes for under £100. Bang tidy!
