I think I would buy a nice little place just outside Florence in Italy.

Sit and watch the wolrd go buy in little cafes.

Have friends over to stay all the time.

Buy a Corsa. Not really.

scotland is small enough mate, cant mind why you want to make it smaller? so it seems more populated

House would be my first investment, followed by a holiday and a nice car (something like a m3 or similar) then make sure the family were ok with money and help a few local charitys.

Yeah ok then, £50k. You'll be skint after that. Might have to settle for a flat rather than house and maybe just a Holiday in Europe.
