If your that paranoid then go straight to the local bank then have the funds transfered from one account to the other. Job done.

Scottish money could be faked with a napkin and a crayon tbh

Need to release some monies Was the whole reason I decided to sell the 350 but it wouldnt shift so I swapped it for the bimmer in the hope it will sell quicker, has certainly had more interest in 2 days than the 350 did in a month

would have been nice to keep the BM longer though.

Mock our money if you wish, I've sold drunken English people for £100 notes for £100 plus a round of drinks. He who laughs courtesy of other people buying his booze laughs longest

Anyways, on topic:
Cheques can be cancelled after clearing
Bank drafts can also be cancelled and are increasingly being faked for smaller sums, as low as a couple of grand
Transfers can be reversed

Really taking them in to the bank and handing over the cash to a cashier is the only option I'd consider at that price point.

[Well, that's not true, should be selling my 320Cd for similar money soon so I'm putting it through SOR with 70% upfront through a local prestige marques dealer ]

i've never spent english money in scotland, but have had to put up with scottish money in essex.

if scotland want independance, they can start by buying some bureau de exchange instead of being half arsed about it when it suits them

If you are in possession of a Scottish note in England does anyone else feel a bit on edge until you've got rid of it? You're never 100% happy that it's worth something till it's out of your hands.

I'm not being daft BTW, I don't know where it comes from but I've always been like that

Bankers draft as long as you can call the bank and verify its authenticity.

Otherwise accept cash and buy one of those check pens. Thats what I always do.
