All the ones that have really weirded me out have been from David Lynch films...dont really get horror - but lynch is more psychological, mind fuck stuff - he a bit of a weirdo
If you havnt seen them - they wont mean much to you - if you have seen them prepare to shit a brick

Out of Inland Empire .... 3 hours of complete brain fuck - I watched it with three other blokes in their tweties in broad day light and we were all fucking shitting it ..... Lynch is a master of fucked up, seedy rooms, colours - you feel dirty as hell after watching some of his films

Just be prepared that its fine if you dont know what the fuck is going on. I was on edge watching Lynch films for the first time from start to finish without really knowing what was shitting me up so badly.
start off with Blue velvet - its the most straight forward, you get an idea what Lynch is all about.
Then I would go for either mulholland drive or lost highway ..... which, well, are not straightforward
Then Inland Empire - which is an experiance.
Eraserhead, dune and the elephant man are good - but not really my cup of tea.
I got hooked on Lynch from watching twin peaks- his tv series - which is as fucking masterpiece ... its has much more humour in it than his films ... but its sooo fucking dark at times its unbelievable it was ever put on tv, and that so many people got hooked on it.
Can not recommend twin peaks high enough - its amazing, and shit scary and really funny - which is not a combination thats easy to get right

let me know what you think - I have given it to all sorts of people to watch - I havnt yet met anyone who hasnt loved it. Just be prepared that the pilot episode is amazing ..but very heavy going .... it does get a bit lighter when the series kicks in.

Not sure... it used to be very hard to get hold of ... I had to import a copy from spain about 8 years ago ...there was a big fallout between lynch and the network and the distributers.
I believe it is now widely avaliable on play.com ect ...which probably means its about for free on the net

If you do make sure you leave after about an hour. Because after then it turns shit, and the ending is lame.

I know of one from a japanese film. 10 scott mills points to the one who gets it. Here goes
IIRC it takes peoples souls, its tall and skinny and has black spikey hair with a weird grin with a weird laugh. Nobody in the film could see it though.
