I work in service management
I'm not sure they legally have to do anything regarding time off for training etc
e.g. for the 2 week annual camp my work will give me a week paid for it but for the other I have to use holiday
If you were to get deployed though then legally your work have to keep your job for you

Thought I'd get more arsey answers to be frank, thanks for the responses has given me stuff to think about. Gonna go over everything tomorrow at the careers office and find out what's best for me. Originally started app as infantry last year, don't know if I'd want that now. I'd want a trade but with some combat.. suppose you have to be ready in any role really.

i know of about 4-5 lads in the army, they have totally changed , always taking about having fights and punching this person and just genrally sounding like they have been brain washed to think they must sound tuff all the time.
some of the stories of getting chucked out of the window in a locker ect ..... fuck that shit, when u say what the hell do u wanna do that for , there reply is always .... its character building , nar mate its brain washing
