i would personally go in there and offer 13,500 to take it right there and then.

300 quid isn't a massive lot of cash for a 14k car.

my focus was up for 14250 and i let it go for 13750.

Adio...Cant say I have any fruity outfits lol. Do you have anything I could borrow? Basically I do have 13500 to spend. I will defo be knocking him down because of the wheel and tax being due. Be nice to get it for 13300 then that covers both of these. But like people say I dont want to go in too low and put him off. The car, I would say is priced about right. He sent me the CAP valuation and has picked a figure roughly between trade good condition and private good condition.

Getting things for 2 and 3k under (normally) just means they were overpriced to begin with.

That's why it depends on that exact car.

who gives a granny what it's worth...there must be 5000 mkv golfs out there for sale be prepared to walk away ..leave and ring him up 10 mins later..if he thinks your going to look/ buy somebody else's and u flash the cash ..really it all depends on how desperate he is for a sale... if it was worth 15k i'd still go in and offer 12k cash...u don't get money off if u don't ask

Your probably right. There very well might be 5000 Mk5's for sale but not one might be the one I'm after. I'm not spending that sort of money to buy a car I don't want.

That's a pretty slick outfit. Do I need the side parting to go with it? We have people at work who dress like that. They are the ones who do nothing and walk round with a piece of paper in their hand all day.

Side parting for sure.

And a back, sack and crack waxing is a must

I do roughly 11k a year. Have had my mk4 nearly 6 years and will prob keep this the same amount of time if not longer. Its a lovely colour. I seem to have a thing for blue. My last 3 cars have been almost the same shade lol.
