its drilled because there is an oil cooler right behind it, function over form and all that

so far fantastic! really really good ride! will see if its the same in a few months but they have warranty anyway so should be all good

can you not block the scoop up now its got a front mount?

i guess you could do, it also serves its purpose for heat to get out of, although i think its unheard of for people to remove the scoop when getting a fmic!

some people do remove the scoop on these if they have the frount mount but i think its just for the areodynamics or something or other. But the more air in round the engine the better you can also get grills to replace the scoop like this one to let the heat escape.

i'd keep the scoop but just make something to block it up during winter.

my mates scooby had no problem over winter.

what your looking at there is a reversed scoop i beleive, so its still a scoop just goes the other way round

Yaah its the reversed scoop but it only serves the purpose of displacing heat.
