so you will drive around and fill up more often and probably use more fuel driving to and from the petrol station? nice one
I do this but for different reasons BarnshaW. I know if I put £30 in on a monday morning at the petrol station on my way to work (dont have to drive out of my way as its on route) I then don't have to put anything in till Thursday morning on the drive to work when I then put £20 in which lasts me all weekend. This might sound really silly, however if I brim the tank on a monday morning, I can only get £44 in from empty so at some point on friday I have to fill up. As I'm sat on the motorway most of my journey it would mean i'd be filling up at a cost of about 6 to 10p more per litre. Not a lot in the grand scheme of things, but my system works well

can someone tell me how much a 1.6 corsa is going to save on MPG by filling it with half a tank supposed to filling it with a full tank.
in weight we are talking about maybe 18-20 litres extra weight? is this REALLY enough to warrant only half filling and having to drive back to a petrol station twice?

Fuck knows Mike
I don't see the point in what JedDy does, I only fill 3/4's and then a half as it means I don't have to fill up at an expensive motorway services
If you really are interested, heres some geeks that would make Pow proud http://priusonline.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=12069

its really strange , do people remove their aircon for the winter for the weight saving? or remove the seats in the back if they plan on not carrying any passengers?
drill holes in their belts or swap shoes for sandals? its completely anal

When I first started driving the most I would put in is a fiver, then a tenner became the new fiver as prices shot up. Now I have a diesel £15 has become the new £10.
Don't ask me why but 4 x £15 lasts me longer than 1 x £60.

That'd do me fine Dave if my tank was that big Seeing as its not, "petty" amounts actually work out better.

I get around 130-140miles to £30 but if i fill up (around £57) i get like 220miles.
So i lose like 40-60 miles by filling it up. Dont have a clue why, it gets driven exactly the same.

To be honest, it was the frequency of fill ups that did my head in.
I would much rather fill up to the brim with a big tank than fill up so many times with a smaller one.
Evo is notoriously bad for that. 200-220 mile range.
I now get 400-500 mile range

1.2 16v's are shit for fuel.
I remember when I had my first one, you had to rev it so hard to get anywhere.
