What's the power difference between the 2.2/2.5?

Spec will play a big part in the price too, the more toys you get the easier it will be to sell and for more cash. That said if toys don't bother you then bargains to be had. Just make sure it has a/c.

It will be an odd experience to drive as they are very low and the steering gearbox is "higher up" so to speak. Once your used to it it's awesome though just a bit different.

Oh and of course you will be the bee's knee's apparently.

I've driven both the 3.0 and the 2.5 recently and the 2.5 defo is the one if you dont want crippling isurance and pretty good performance.

Quite basic inside but the stright 6 is smooth as! Ride is a little fidgity but the ones I looked at were north of 60k miles.

Do they use runflats? Might improve the ride with diff tyres if so.

my dads had 2. a 53 plate 2.2 manual on 56k and has just traded it for a 56 plate 2.5 smg on 25k.
the 2.2 was good but his 2.5 feels so much more tight and solid and feels much faster. also the newer one is slightly higher which improves the ride a lot.
the 2.5 is a facelift and looks a but more modern outside and the interior looks better with deep blacks instead of greys in the 2.2 and his new one has deep backed white leather M sport buckets which are mint!

Well, driven it. Thought it was bloody fantastic. Really pointy and easy to position round the bends, plenty of shove in all gears (except fifth obviously). Great gearbox.

Didn't feel as rough a ride as I thought it might. Enough so you know whats going on, but not so much that its uncomfortable.

04 plate with 90k miles. I wouldn't buy that one though, too expensive for the mileage, got my eye on another cheaper 54 plate instead.

It was actually really good condition for its age. A couple of marks on the passenger seat bolsters but you wouldn't think it had nearly hundred thousand on it!

his is smg, 57 plate 25-26k and was just under £14k i think. his has a nice steering wheel with metal spokes though, only difference i can spot

Had a 03 Reg 2.5i two years ago, great cars. Good handling and looks great with the roof down. Deffo go for the 2.5si though, or stretch to the 3.0si there wasn't much difference in insurance for me on that one.

Bad points are that it's very enclosed inside and the ride is harsh as fuck, especially with the run flats which they come with (think about how much new tyres are too!) unless they've all been replaced before hand. You feel every bump in the road. Also the doors sound abit "tinny" when closing them I found, but build quality was top notch otherwise.

The coupe is one of the the best looking cars on the road too, IMO.

Yeah, noticed the doors sounded a bit crap on closing but other than that for a car of that mileage very good quality.

I was pretty impressed by the 2.2 as it was, I'll have to drive the 2.5 for comparison before I go too much further.

My Aunty has one identical to this but with a hard top. Looks better with the hard top on IMO

Not practical in any way shape or form so its a 2nd car that sits in the garage 99% of the time I like the driving position, you feel nice and cocooned

thats a good point, thats defo an issue thats been addressed in the facelift. the doors on the new one sound solid and clunky, i used to cringe when i closed the old ones it sounded like the glass is rattling around inside and is gonna smash

Already emailed them, waiting for reply
Bit far away though perhaps when I can't do a deal on the day (need to shift my car first).

More got my eye on a 2.5 now though. Insurance is totally the same regardless of engine. 3.0 gets expensive though.
