In general I enjoy it. There are things I think I would enjoy more, but I work in a fast-paced, interesting environment with some of the best people in the industry. Not sure how I got in TBH

I enjoy elements of my job, but not enough to jump out of bed every morning as soon as my alarm goes off.

The CS salary police are going to be all over this like a fat kid at an all-you-can-eat buffet.

Was great that time when people were calculating your wages based on your student loan payments, so lame lol

I can't stand my job any more. Started here 2.5 years ago and for the first 9-12 months really enjoyed it and worked hard trying to earn the performance-based bonus which turned out to be a lie as nobody got them any more and then about 10 people were made redundant and now the management treat everybody except their star pupils like complete dirt for no reason. I get on with 5 people here at the most and try to avoid everyone else.

in fairness I did say that it was a hypothetical salary based on a hypothetical figure; also it didn't say hypothetical it said "say you were paying £400 pm Student loan" and I responded that "say" you were earning xxxxx.

Someone else then jumped on the Salary Police bandwagon

That number was just for arguments sake. Good detective work though

Hate my Job, No enthusiasm for it anymore.
I've had to reapply for my own job twice due to re-orgs
I've dropped pay to keep the job
I've worked weekends, driven to sites that I dont control, been on the phone for support at 2am etc etc and never had a single word of thanks. Understandable if this was my job or in my job description, however it is simply expected. In fact when I once didn't answer the phone at some stupid till I got bullshit from them the next day
I drive for over 2 hours a day for barely enough money to cover all my outgoings

What makes it all worse is I left what in hindsight was probably my dream job to come here....fucking mug I am !

But....It's a life experience and the sooner I leave the better

I love my job, really quite enjoy going into work some nights, some nights I can't wait to go to work as I'm just so bored at home

It's always hands on work, sometimes I work outside, sometimes inside, jobs always vary, I think it's the variety that makes me enjoy it, when we do the same job for a while I get a bit bored but I still don't mind going into work

I work for the Underground btw

i love the social aspect of my job. the blokes i work with make the time pass really quick.

i also like being able to read the paper/sit on my mobile/listen to the radio, could never do this when i worked in a supermarket.

love the money for what is quite an easy but physically demanding job.

not keen on the shift work (3 shift) and feeling tired most of the time, and the fact it's the same old thing every day.

I found it was less stressful if I treated it like it was just paying for my hobbies. I would have some days a raging stress head when I really cared about stuff and others when I just told everyone I didn't care and I was just there for the money.

Even if you have an element of enjoyment and commitment, it's actually better to tell everyone you don't, even if you do a bit.

No, Hate it.

Just go in, Do what I can be bothered doing then come home. No point in putting any effort in there as there are no rewards, no thank you's nothing. Just constant hastle.

Just hoping something better comes along quickly.

I hate mine, but it pays the bills untill something else comes along. I get moved about every week, do different hours every week, and when im there i sit on my arse on the laptop all night bored.
Id much rather have a day job and do something productive and actually learn something.

i wouldn't mind it if i was pay'd enough to give myself a place. even rented.

and live my life.

but it barely covers running my car so i can get to work and monthly bills.
