My mate has one 3.0 Omega engine, with C25XE top end etc. I think.... Its his daily car, the only thing he said he doesnt like is that because the engines very one sided handling isnt great compared to when it was a 2.0 8v

There akin to doing engine work on a Skyline. If youve ever delved into the bay of one.

Pain in the arse is an understatement.

Used to have a 350Z, had to take the front end off to get to the power steering pump.

like I say, I've worked on 'difficult' cars before!

You'll love every dismal second of working with a V6 Corsa/Nova/Tigra then. Worlds most unevenly weight balanced engine in a teeny tiny bay.

Robin you are a cheapskate and will end up doing nothing, but getting a totally different car instead and have a wishlist for it that never comes to anything.

Screw the Corsa. Get an Omega and put in an engine that should have been there all along!

Edit: Would probably be less hassle That is when you find the V8

LS1 and T56 is still about £5k though, plus all the fab work, wiring etc.

Too big an undertaking for me.

I've been involved in one before and even getting the engine in the bay was a lot of prep.

Good time to buy a corrado vr6 atm, even some of the £2k ones are decent.

2.5 revs higher does it not, and has a stronger crank or rods to iirc

2.5 will rev more as it has a shorter stroke.

The cylinder walls also must be thicker as the block is the same physical size but the bore is smaller, so in theory, it would be stronger.

Wonder if you can make a hybrid from a 3.0 block and a 2.5 crank. it would give 2774cc and would rev like the 2.5 but have more torque...
