I was 14 when my dad started shagging a 24 year old. He told her he had 3 kids aged 10 8 and 6. The reality was my sister was 20, brother was 18 and I was 14 (brother and sister aren't his though). I hated her with an absolute passion, she had absolutely no clue how to act or behave. I was a nightmare at that age and she got a lot of the teenage angst aimed at her She stuck around for 7 years though so kudos to her

VrsTurbo You my friend friend are an immature prick.

djgritt - tbh I think moving into a relationship with a girl where the dad of the kid(s) is stil involved your more than likely not going to be liked I had the mrs ex threatening to stab me and everything and going crazy about me potentially bringing up his kids. - hadn't even spoke a word to him at this point! - expected it and just ignored him and he eventually chilled out once he knew I was there for the right reasons.

depends, sometimes (most of the times) i look at single parents and blame them for making a bad decision.

lots of the under 30yr olds with kids i know, i end up thinking its their fault for dating a dickhead.

Yup me took on 2 kids 5yrs ago when they were 5 and 10 best thing I ever did they now see me as more of a dad than their real dad who hasn't once paid any csa in 8yrs since my missus and him divorced have since had another and we have one on the way and not once have I seen it as a problem as I had known them since birth anyway

FFS Cole some punctuation

I don't think I'd have an issue with dating someone who has a young kid as I get on with kids well.

my ex had a 3 year old when i got with her, we lived together and it was all pretty decent, she had not had a stable relationship with anyone before, especially the father of her child. Anyway, after about 6 months she met someone else, started sleeping with him, then he fucked her off and in the same week she started shagging his best mate.. he then moved in a week later and took over where about 4 other people have been since her son was born, i feel really sorry for the kid as its just one person after the other. i think it can work if the situation is right.. however, if there is a crazy parent of said child still involved it is only going to end in disaster.

Personally I couldnt anyone who has a take my hat off to them. I would find it hard because ...I can't really explain I look at my dad and see me in him and I would want to see myself in my children (don't be perverted). It's a hard subject but I could not do it.
