Yellow and Red ones fade plus they have gash yellow bits on the interior. Get a Silver or Grey one as they have cool interiors.

I must drive like a pansy

According to Parkers, Ibiza/Fabia have a 45 litre tank, while the Golf is 55 litres. You're still doing better than Mertin (and me!) but it puts it into perspective a bit more.

Chris, look at the FR or Fabia if you want cheaper insurance. Insurance groups (on the new scale) are 30 for the Cupra, and then 18/20 for the Fabia and FR respectively.

The FR (old insurance groups was group 7 or 8 I think so fairly low)

Interior is the same minus a few red bits and cupra badges rather than FR.
Outside is the same apart from front bumper and wheels (which arent really that different) Facelift FR has the same bumper as the Cupra)

Well I hope you're going to give them a fresh coat of paint as most are pink

Never heard of anyone having a problem with the climate control. I miss climate control, seems so annoying messing about with the dials all the time now. I just used to leave it on 19deg when it was hot and 21 when it was cold. Stick it on Auto and it kept it at that temp.

Its only the Leons Iv heard about problems with the fan. SOmetimes the Ibiza compressors but there is a fail safe so that when the compressor is about to seize or struggling the pulley shears first to prevent damage to the compressor itself. Mine run dry due to a hose being split, was like that for months I reckon and thought it would be buggered but new connection and a regas and all is well again.

Two sets of 4 pots came up for sale on ebay last week, I was tempted but had just bought the TT 312mm set up. Went for £125 each, calipers only

I had a Cupra but the petrol version. I loved it, apart from losing £5000 on it in a year!! i'd love another one and wish i never sold it. Didnt have any problems that i can remember either. Grey is the best colour to have one in
