2004 America, not sure why anyone is surprised, it's only recently that it's become unfashionable here, don't see the problem tbh.

I was punished for doing wrong when i was younger, but not to that extent.
What makes it worse is the fact that he forces her to bend over and she knows if she doesnt shel just get worse punishment.
I'd torture the cunt tbh. (the father)

I think id punch him if I ever saw him tbh.
Getting a slap is fine but that looks like he's wanting to really hurt her, not just punish her.
We have also gotta remember that she may be a problem child.

Doesn't matter. As someone commented, "there is a difference between a smack and a beating" and this is clearly a beating. Hopefully something is done but unfortunately i can't see anything happening to the judge.

I reckon that girl set this up on purpose, eg, started filming then done something to provoke this reaction from the dad.
Entrapment imo

You may all find this disgusting but this kind of thing was pretty commonplace back in the "old days" - just no-one talked about it much.
As for using a belt - well it's used because a) if you used your hand to repeatedly slap someone it will hurt you as well as them, and b) the pain is greater from a belt/whip than from your hand.
I think one smack on the bum is OK, but a repeated beating with a belt is not! That sort of thing is enough for your kid to be taken into care TBH.

thing is, if more descipline happened there would be less gangs, gun crime etc. I think a clip round the ear done myself and siblings the world of good, obviously steves parents had no form of discipline which is why he is like he is

Descipline, yes. Blatent abuse, no.
Kids who are beaten tend toresent their parants for it, thus never taking advice etc and end up going down the wrong path. Kids with no descipline at all just do what they please and end up been a scumbag also.
theres a fine line between the two imo.

cast back to the 60's etc, when parents were young, if you were int he wrong you got a hit on the knuckles at school with a ruler, you got a slap round the back with a slipper.
children were disciplined and there was less crime, people were more respectful, parents didnt have to worry about being sued or getting in trouble for hitting a child, nowadays not even nursey teachers can touch a child, even in cases where a child may need medical attention teachers cannot even touch a child, ridiculous.

Red tape book should be burnt imo.
Should bring back proper punishment at school. Young kids today are arseholes.
I mean, when i was at school etc i wasnt the best kid but didnt act anywhere near as bad as they do now.
