Same point still stands though, could be high miles and be no bother.

I swear if I had posted this, someone would have said, worst "I'm spending £35k on a car" thread ever.

Are you just trolling now?
No one can say 51k in 2 years isn't high
It's not high really though is it?
I've put 61k on my Mazda in 18 months so far, and I put 93k on my old Octavia in 30 months...

Colin's not actually spending the £35k though.

Average miles is something like 12k a year. So it is high mileage for year.

think that rule went out the window years ago. Average miles is now based on the car class
i.e s hatchback maybe 12k average, but compact executive like a4's etc are more like 20k average
For the GTR to cover 25k a year its been used for business.
Juts check history and servicing - that's a better indicator than mileage

So going on car class something fairly exotic like a GTR will normally cover less than 25k a year then as normally they'll be more of a toy. So like I said it's high mileage
20k for a car used for business might be the normal in that respect but for people not using their car to do their business it's still high miles.

why would a GTR be bought as a toy - it can be used everyday

you'd have to be constantly high on drugs or have money to burn to drive a gtr everyday and do 25k miles a year.

Any car can be used every day if you wanted It's just not the sort of car you would find people racking up lots of miles on normally.
Look on autotrader for proof. Out of 90 odd for sale there's only about 2 GTRs with over 30k on them...

Ian - its not the same point at all.. the gtr has implications with servicing ect that a 1k car doesnt

Servicings every 6k miles on one of these cars, that would be every 3 months

How much will that set you back?
I would imagine a 6k service on one of these will cost more than a mk1 punto which turned out to be a shitter because it wasnt checked over properlly

Wouldn'y say it was high mileage. Bought my Ibiza FR with 19k in Oct 09 and its on 70k now 24months later. Thats 25k a year doing 60miles a day to work and the odd bit of commuting.
The fact it has full service history means its been looked after so i wouldn't worry at all

Are people missing the 'higher than avg miles' bit in the thread title? No matter what way you look at it, that GTR has 'higher than avg miles'.
