I just read everyone's posts about the massive losses on these rollers.
Weird. Never heard anything like it before, maybe he should buy some new ones.

Adi, they are brand new rollers All ATF figures that are created are a guess anyway? Besides, each figure he gave out ATF actually matched up to expectations.

Your baiting is really poor these days, Adi. Get some meat in you. Maybe bring back the intellectual chap you once were.

i am struggling to understand why the over reading though?
how can a FWD car product such transmission losses on a dyno like that? are they not typically around 3 times more then normal losses?

I'm trying to find an explanation online tbh I'm not sure if it was his rollers would under read, and he'd correct it, or what I should probably ask him But again, the RS owner expected about 385, and got 385 ATF, because his injectors were maxxed out. A CTR expected 235-240 and got 240. This wasn't us telling him what we expected then getting told btw

Just to add, running in a higher gear will make a big difference. At the last one, Nic's Corsa had to run in 5th so his ATW figure was lower than it could be. All cars were run in 4th whereas every other place I've been ran in 3rd.

i see what your saying but then that contradicts that other readings were high?
either way the LCR looks lovely from the other thread and if it feels nice on the road thats the main thing

I don't really get it either mate So I'm best to ask him before I start spouting shite I know nothing about! That's all I was interested in with my car, a bench mark and to see if it's running well. I'm uploading all my videos of the cars just now so will make a thread shortly!

Ok, serious now, I've had some meat.
The wheel figure isn't accurate either, as a standard LCR gets around 200
So the rollers must be under reading, surely? Maybe due to the size and the figures are calculated with extra losses
(I know this probably isn't going to be answered properly without the full explanation from the operator guy)

I'm going to message him later to find out how it's explained. My mate's Cupra R was there too that got 190 odds ATW and that was bog standard.

Somethings not right somewere

Tbh, at the wheel is how it should be given. As that's the genuine figure, not the pub one

I know it is but i just though ALL dyno torque figers were givein at the wheels.
Ive never herd of torque ATF before.
Eather way 27% is some loss somewere. (be it rollers or car) But if the car dives spot on who cares?

It was Russ who told me beforehand that it's the rollers that are making big losses! That's what I was saying to everyone anyway. I'm happy with how my car runs, and I'm glad I got a benchmark!

That's all I was after, a benchmark to work from. Russ explained pretty much everything I wanted to know after the runs also. Top bloke.

The yellow one made 178 atw Eck.
It still feels quick on the road so that's what matters I guess. The only other thing I can do is put it on stars rollers again.

Fucking hell what was I thinking of that made that then? I'm not even going to bother taking mine anywhere else. I've got my benchmark, I'm getting Russ to play with the mapping as well, and next year when I'm in search of silly power he'll be the man sorting it!

Be more bothered about how it feels to drive than how much a dyno said it makes on a certain day

Exactly mate. I just wanted to make sure all was well with the car.
Eck Russ is one of the best in the business. He done his time at Wallace in Aberdeen before moving to HQ.
