Yvonne changed you Ben. I remember when you joined here with that local cruize site in your name and your tinted window corsa with dodgy alloys, full of life and a happy man.

Look at the state of you now.

Social side with mates / mrs.

I don't think anybody exactly runs around shouting YAY its new year. It's just a generic thing that gets done

I've not done anything on NYE/NYD for many years after nearly dying from excess Vodka drinking/alcohol poisoning

Staying in with my other half, and will probably watch shit on TV or play on my 360 until I want to go to bed.

I'm also skint from Xmas

thing is, you could go out the following week, spend half as much, drink more, not have to wait all night at the bar, get more pissed and still celebrate? but just because its that day all the bellends come out, everyone profits from it and its normally just a shit busy night anyway

its not though paul, done it all, pubs, clubs, abroad, best out of the lot is probably a decent house party, not a meat packed one but a sensible sort of semi classy one with some decent convo and what not.

Function in a golf club. 3 course meal, disco afterwards. Tickets so it's not packed, walk up to the bar and get served at your leisure - head back to the best offer of a house party afterwards. Job done.

I've had one good NYE out and that was at a black tie do a few years ago. The rest have either been crap or just same as any other night out. One year I managed to completely miss the countdown, looked at my watch and it was 10past

Been to house parties last few years with family/friends. They are a lot better, especially if you can walk home and not get stung double for a taxi.
