Personally I'd get something like an E34 M5 with plenty of change for some goodies:

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3316507.htm

Or for the full amount, Aston Martin DB7:

Out of your 3 Deffo the lotus!

My choice... god knows theres so much out there for 20k!

Probably a nice DSG S3 sportback and give it a little Revo and be happy with that

I wouldnt chose any of the ones you suggested really. I would be looking at 996s, £20k will get you a turbo one if you look hard enough, C5 corvette for something a bit different, can get them way cheaper than your budget. Noble is a good shout. If you're wanting something newer i would wait a while for e92 M3s to come down in price.

There's an awful lot of cars out there for that budget, just a case of searching absolutley everywhere for the car that will suit you more.

It's a hard choice, looking at E30 M3's but nothing I fancy for £20,000

E46 CSL is over budget

But tbh both aren't silly enough not to use everyday so some silly bike engined kit car!

I would buy this RS6 Plus! 500bhp+

Massive spec

Well looked after

This car is available for £16,000 with the standard Steel discs, or £20,000 with the ceramics.
It is currently on a private plate, which needs to be put back on retention

I like old VWs but I would feel a bit robbed if I gave £20k for one with rusty window frames.

i would find it completely impossible to justify to myself or anyone i know that i spend that much money on that VW thing above.

a nice mint one with new paint and fully done would be another story though

dink a tvr and they will write it off, mate clipped a curb in his few years back...bend a few bolt on suspension components, and some panel work and wrote car off due to supply off parts.

what is you your after from the car? rs4's launch well then go flatter up the revs.

evo 9 fq360 or similar would be nice and some are really top spec for less than £20k too

I would wait a year or so until e90 M3s are that sort of price, or a nice evo with a bit of change.
