Buy nothing. Will the cost of insurance be less than the discount the extra no claims bonus will give you?

Thought not

My friend did it. He sold his car and went car free for 6 months to save money. He paid £800 to to settle his insurance - It didnt even save him 100 by the time his insurance come around but he thinks he is better of because he has another years no claims.....
