Dont believe that.

98k miles my dads one is on, it's had a turbo, MAF, head has cracked, so its had a new head,

Anyone I soeak to say they are such problematic engines.

Wouldnt say they are a good strong engine. Especially on that year.

It amazes me how terrible photography can be on an autotrader advert. I'm no photography nerd, but using a mobile phone camera I could get a picture 20x more flattering than that guy trying to sell an SE SPORT

Can only be the cupra or the fr, cant be both

If your looking for audi build quality maybe not a good idea to look at seats, the interior seems to let them down. However everything else seems well built, VAG quality.

vw and audi diesels are like the strongest engines as long as you run the right oil in it and service it when its meant to be done so tbh you dont realy need to worry about miles when it comes to them

Im not too sure the newer 2.0's are as reliable and bomb proof as the 1.9 PD's. The comments above show some of that and im sure its not the first time Iv heard of them not being great

I know that about the PD engines, unsure about the newer 2.0 ones. Theyve also got DPF's aswell now which I hear are expensive and cause problems. Only weak point on the PD TDi engines is the dual mass flywheel

We have a 290k 2006 passat at work. Oil pump died at 252k killing engine. Up untill then everything was orginal but it was 99.999 % motorway miles by a steady middle aged bloke. Our same spec pool cars have done half the miles and had loads of problems.

I wouldn't touch that 1st 1 purely because i don't like the look of the steering wheel. Reminds me of a poverty spec Mk4 Golf.

Do these share the same engines as the Mk4 Golf GT TDi 150?? The 1s that are quite problematic with the cam lobes wearing down and a few other issues??

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201203442117850/sort/priceasc/usedcars/price-to/3000/price-from/2000/model/5_series/make/bmw/page/4/postcode/l313hn/radius/60/quicksearch/true?logcode=p

What about this one Munchie? Bit more money but less milage and smaller engine, plus it's a bit newer?

Bemmer looks good but for some reason I would never buy a non M car that has had a ///M badge stuck on the back. Says a lot about the Owner tbh.
