Nice one! The engines been build good for 600bhp but the standard ancillaries will be going back on to run it in! Don't really know what turbo to use yet any ideas? It's going to be a road legal track car but it's going to be used on the track and on the strip as much as possible!

Just because someone has been in it for years does not mean its going to work. I have heard lots of things about lots of places, you live and learn. RW is up there with EA.

£1200 to just build the engine
No oil spray jets? What cams?
No oil spray jets he said they don't do that much as the only spray oil onto the rods or something?
Said I wanted it for 500-600 bhp and that's what he suggested?
Will be running standard cams till its run in then going to get some custom ones made when I get the bigger turbo and manifold ect

They cool the exhaust side of the piston if fitted as they should be in the order they should be.
I am tempted to buy my motor back and show people some proper LET figures....

Looks good but is that £264 just for a crank balance?
The going rate is about £150 for a v8 engine.
Strange about the oil squirters, as people sometimes use bmw ones and surely bmw of all people know that it works...also the oil pressure should be high enough it would spray up to the piston.

I farmed it out to someone but paid far less than those figures to build it. Jav has it now and if i bought her back she would do them figures quoted and then some.

Cant believe some of those prices in that invoice. I just had a block bored and decked, my crank ground and polished and a full bottom end balance and it came to £220. I can understand the headwork costing a bit, as knowledge is key in that department but for the bottom end. WOW

I know yeah I thought it was a bit pricey but it will be worth it when it's out on the road!!
Don't really know much about the oil squirters tbf, I just went with what he said as he knows more than me!
