You could be one of many that live in fife that started supporting say dunfermline/raith rovers etc. If they doubled thier crowds they could become a force but no, everyone just glory supports instead.

no people have other reasons for supporting a club.
religion, enjoyment, family and many more
the spl would die without us/celtic

Aye because no fucker supports thier local team in Scotland. Rangers or Celtic. That's your choice. Look at your crowds compared to the rest of the league. Even your capital teams crowds are trounced

Yes that tends to be how it works round here.
The SPL wouldn't die it would just settle at its natural level, become loads more competitive. It would be like a proper league

By local I mean almost neighbour like, can see the stadium from my window.
It all stems from what team u grow up supporting from a young age imo

What you are struggling to grasp is if everyone didn't just follow the crowd like a sheep these teams would be bigger than they are currently. I can't understand why Hearts can't compete with Celtic and Rangers. The city is big enough bit I bet there's loads from Edinburgh that just support one of the old firm because "they win stuff"

And that is fine mate. My anger stems from the fact that places nowhere near Glasgow are fucking rammed with Celtic/rangers fans. Why is that?

They probably would, they won't go to games so won't have a proper affiliation with the club. Casual fans. They'll do what all glory supporters do. Pick the next successful side.

hibs and hearts have got a big fan base though, obviously not as big as the old firm but hibs and hearts have been to cup finals in the last 5 years or so and had huge support turn up for that but can hardly fill there stadiums any other week

That's the thing though they SHOULD be able to compete. They SHOULD get bigger crowds than they do. Edinburgh is a big city, your nations capital and they have good history. There's a reason they don't fill the stadiums though and thats because too many people just go support Celtic/Rangers instead.

I reckon why hibs can't fill there stadium is bcoz they're playin shit, if they start to win things again then maybe they're fans will think "oh wait a minute, they're upping theyre game here" and start going to more games, but until then what's the point in wasting money going to see a team that ain't winning games?
