What you've got to realise is that mint sr's, sri's, gte's and gsi's are so rare now that the only way of having a decent one is a poverty spec version and spec it up.

That's why our good friends over at png go mad for them.

Just the same as if a ford fan boy was trying to find a mint rs1800 or turbo etc. you just don't see them any more.

i feel the same way about povery spec mk1 escorts and the like, yes they are nice because they are a bit of nostalgia and take you back to simpler times, but i just don't understand the need to masturbate over what, in those days, was a run of the mill a to b/family wagon sort of car.

Basically, yes.

Think the Nova probably has more of a following but a one owner car with 2k miles is fairly interesting as it goes.

Plus that doesn't have tape on the bumper.

Because its corroded the piston to the caliper at a guess.

Or they've been pressed and the corrosion is too great in the bore for the piston to return

If you have a nova with 3k miles get it sold while all the hypes on forums. That's if you have 10 days to have your time wasted

think ben you are missing the point entirely...... reason cars like this become popular again is because people like me had one as my first car.... and you just dont see them around anymore i would honestly say i have only seen 1 nova on the road in at least a couple of years!!!

yes it is a normal run of the mill car but, a mondeo wont have the same appeal as nobody could insure one back in the day and well they never existed but thats not my point!! you never forget your first car or indeed the cars of your generation.

surely your dad tells you about what he used to own like my dad does.. hillman superminx lol

Difference is, this is a bog standard, basic nova. You wouldn't spend ££££'s on a 1.4 escort? You're on about highly tuned, top spec models.
